Jade's Journee is a Christian boutique that specializes in handmade kid's bows and accessories. Her journey began when the owner was challenged by her mom to think about how she could impact the world after dealing with bullying. After some brainstorming the two would come up with an awesome opportunity to not only offer a great product to kids Rylan's age but to also provide a way for them to be reminded of who they are and what they're capable of. The name "Jade's Journee" was created knowing that over time Rylan will grow both spiritually and physically and that journey will be shared through her business in various ways to encourage others to be creative, think big, and trust God.

Who is the owner of Jade's Journee?
Rylan Jade Kelly is a tween CEO, speaker, and emcee who is gaining popularity amongst youth across the nation. The At the age of 6, Jade launched her first business, Jade’s Journee which specializes in statement bows and accessories for girls. Each of her pieces are crafted with empowerment in mind and have uplifting words or phrases incorporated into the design. Jade is on a mission to help others learn to express their individuality and embrace their own special journey by challenging girls all over the world to “Discover you!” Jade’s bright and bubbly personality has landed her on news outlets such as ABC’s Good Morning Washington. She was recently chosen to co-host the 1st ever family business summit led by the ‘Raising A Mogul’ organization bringing together families from all over the US. Jade is eager to continue being the change she wants to see in the world by spreading light and positivity wherever she goes.



Promo shoot will take place Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 11am.  It's a 30 minute shoot.  Each participant will receive 5 digital portraits & a free hair bow.  This shoot is for girls ages 5 - 7 years old.

What is Birth Photography?
Birth Photography covers your entire birthing experience, from active labor, through the first few hours of your new baby’s life in a beautiful and real documentary style.
I capture your journey through labor, your baby’s first breath and first cry, cutting the cord, your first expression when you see his or her face, and everything about that brand new bundle of joy and each one of his or her first precious and incredible moments of life.

Do you offer payment plans?Absolutely, personalized payment plans are available. I also offer baby registry options so that friends and family can contribute to your birth photography fund as a baby shower gift for you and your baby! 


How long does it take to get my photos?
Due to the large number of images taken, photos can take 2-4 weeks to be delivered depending on my schedule! You will receive a fully edited announcement photo the day of delivery for friends, family and social media. I will post my favorites for you as I go (if you agree with this), and I write your birth story on my blog post for you to share with friends and family.


How much does it cost?
For this special promo it is $100 for the next 3 Births!  Clients invest anywhere from $500-1500 on their birth photography experience.  Contact me for a quote dedicated to your needs or with any other questions and special requests you may have.

How to prepare for your headshot:
Prepare for your headshot by taking care of yourself in the days leading up to your headshot session. Avoid drinking alcohol or smoking, and drink plenty of water for a few days and on the day of your headshot. This will make your skin very hydrated to fill in lines and wrinkles, undereye circles, and give you a healthy glow. Get plenty of sleep the night before your photo so you're rested and ready to go.
Hair: Don’t cut or dye your hair right before the shoot, especially men since stylists tend to cut hair a little shorter so it looks like it's at its proper length about 2 weeks later. Some shades of freshly colored hair can look too vibrant and unnatural on camera, especially a hair color with any red tones-- drawing more attention to your hair than your face. A new haircut also looks its best after at least a week, and colored hair looks more natural after 1-2 weeks’ worth of shampooing.
Teeth: If you want to whiten your teeth before your session, start as early as possible and use a natural whitening method, or have your teeth whitened with your dentist. A quick emergency whitening method that works for many people is to mix some toothpaste with about 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of food-grade hydrogen peroxide, and about 1/2 teaspoon of water. Polish your teeth with this mixture and it should quickly whiten your teeth a shade or two. But don't use this method more often than once a month- baking soda is abrasive and can wear away at your enamel if used too frequently. (And retouching is also a much safer option!)
Beards: If you have a beard, trim it evenly so it’s nicely groomed. If you’re going clean-shaven, get a good shave before your headshot. Darker colored beards tend to be accentuated in photos- trim it well so it's not too thick.

Choosing clothing for headshots: MEN
​What do you wear for professional headshot?
When choosing clothing for your professional headshot: think classic. Pick your favorite suit that fits you well and is preferably a classic dark color like navy blue or gray. Choose a suit that doesn't bunch up when you button it or if you sit down, and a shirt and tie that match each other and the suit.
Try to stay away from anything with bold, distracting patterns or colors. Clothing with really tight grids or a small herringbone pattern can have a moiré pattern effect on camera, so stay away from tight grid-like patterns. Thin stripes that are a little further apart are okay. Ties look best when their tone lands between the suit and the shirt-- so a light shirt, a dark suit, and a tie in a shade somewhere between them. Some ties are too shiny-- try to stay away from really reflective, shiny, silk ties.
If you don't wear a tie, choose a non-white shirt if possible: white shirts without a jacket and tie to break them up can lose detail in the color and folds. And if you wear a button-down shirt, it's best to wear a jacket or sweater of some kind to layer the look. If not, choose a darker color shirt or something with pockets or details to avoid it looking like a head floating on a blank, boxy shirt, and unbutton a button or two. And make sure we can't see your undershirt beneath the button-down shirt: wear a v-neck or no undershirt at all.

Choosing clothing for headshots: WOMEN
What to wear for a professional headshot?Choose a professional suit or business-oriented outfit that has a classic look: you shouldn’t be able to tell what decade it is in the photo. Don’t choose anything with bold, distracting patterns or colors, unless you can layer a plain blazer or sweater over it so not much of the pattern is showing and you get just a pop of color.
Clothing with tight grids or a small herringbone pattern can have a moiré pattern effect on camera, so stay away from grid-like patterns. Thin stripes are okay.
Try not to wear stark white unless it’s under something, such as a suit jacket, cardigan, or sweater. V-necks accentuate the neckline and generally look best on women. Just don’t choose something with too low of a neckline: no cleavage. And no turtlenecks: they tend to make people look like they have no neck at all in photos.
Try to stay away from short sleeves or tank tops: executive headshots tend to look better without bare arms, but if you'd like to try showing arms in a sleeveless blouse or shift dress, we could make it work. Just bring a blazer or sweater to put over it as an additional option.
For jewelry, go for something small, classic, and not very reflective or flashy. Earrings shouldn’t dangle more than an inch from your earlobe. Simpler is always better, so if we notice your jewelry before we notice your face, we may ask you to remove any excess jewelry.

Makeup: do it yourself or hire a make-up artist? If you do your makeup yourself, do your makeup how you usually wear it for an average day, or possibly a nice dinner where the steak is $30 but not $75. Do not wear heavy makeup; a close headshot will show clumps of mascara or dark lipstick. Choose light to medium eyeliners, eye shadows, and lipsticks that are only a shade or two darker than your skin tones. This brings your features out in a subtle manner without making it look like you're wearing lots of makeup. Avoid caking on heavy foundation, or wearing shiny eye shadows or lip gloss: too much shine is distracting on camera and looks wet.
Skin blemishes, pimples, and even wrinkles can be retouched, It’s not cheating, we promise.
How much is too much makeup for a headshot? Everyone is different, so it depends on how much make-up you usually wear: you want your headshots to be easily recognizable as how you generally look in person. For some people, that means wearing your make-up exactly how you usually wear it, for others it's wearing a little more, for others a little less. If you don't wear much makeup every day, don't do your makeup like Kim Kardashian for your photos.

Should I hire a make-up artist?
We're often asked if we recommend having a hair and makeup artist present for your session, and our answer is always, "it's up to you." You know yourself best and your own makeup routine and abilities. We normally recommend makeup artists for people who barely wear any makeup or wear no makeup at all, if you have uneven or blotchy skin, if you can never get your hair to sit right for a photo, if you've never liked the way your makeup has photographed in the past, or if you just want that extra bit of insurance for your photo session. We work with makeup artists who specialize in headshots and have been trained in makeup specifically for print and motion photography. They will work with you to talk through how much makeup you usually wear, what colors and tones, and will build upon your usual look to make it photo-ready. The goal is for you to look like you, but for your features to pop and you look naturally beautiful.
Should men have a makeup artist for their headshot? Just like with women, it's up to you. Most men who add a makeup artist to their session do so because there's something they notice in all of their photos that they don't like and would like to correct with makeup, such as excessive shine, redness, or unruly hair.

And remember to have fun and not take it too seriously! We know that's a little difficult after all these do's and don'ts, but we promise to make the experience as relaxing as possible. You got this.

Today we spotlight Jeanetta Sullivan, (Mompreneur) Owner of PUDGY POTATO Home of the XTRA LOADED BAKED POTATO.

All my life I grew up watching great cooks in my family bless others in the community with good home cooked meals from my Great grandmother Lucinda to my Dad, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins etc.  It's (cooking) in our blood! Owning and running a restaurant has always been a family dream. Growing up I didn't have the latest or best of materialistic "things" as I grew older I always looked for a way to help myself financially from braiding hair at age 12 up until I graduated high school and went on to nursing school.  Since I was a child, I always said I wanted to be a nurse so even as an adult that was still on my to-do list.  However, now that I'm working in my childhood profession it wasn't enough, as much as I LOVE being a nurse I still feel like I have more to offer to the world! It was November, 2017 when I planned to drop my son off at daycare and upon arriving was told there's no longer daycare services.  After a short lived pity party, I drove to the market and gathered everything needed for an XTRA LOADED BAKED POTATO, soon to become PUDGY POTATO!
I don't really remember where I got STUFFING baked potatoes from, I've always loved the traditional loaded potatoes (cheese sour cream chives).  For about 5 years I've made them as a dinner dish for family and friends and they've always encouraged or joked about making them for purchase.  I can remember putting my son in his play pen praying over my groceries then prepping to make my first batch of XTRA LOADED potatoes. I made chicken, steak, and shrimp and 10 potatoes I remember making one of each making a video of the finished product then tasting each one... they were beyond delicious! I uploaded my XTRA LOADED potatoes sent mass text messages out to everyone in my phone XTRA LOADED BAKED POTATOES for sale!!!!
The first week I made a $100 less than my 40hr work week check, it was a HIT!!! That month and the next month the numbers was consistent enough that 4 months later I considered taking this new exciting "whole meal" all in one POTATO gig to the next level. I started researching and found POTATO factories all over the country Georgia, Houston, Dallas, Detroit, Baltimore & these are big successful some even franchises all specializing in POTATOES! I instantly started studying EVERYTHING about them I've been in communication with a few they really believe in Buffalo potential and stands behind PUDGY POTATO.
I researched any POTATO factories in Buffalo (none), WNY (none), New York State (none) after countless hours of researching, networking, and preparing a business plan etc. March 2018, I switched to DBA PUDGY POTATO; Home of the XTRA LOADED BAKED POTATO!
A year later PUDGY POTATO has proven to be not just a hustle but worthy enough to work as a full-time business.  PUDGY POTATO now  has 20 different varieties and counting (chicken, steak, shrimp, taco, lobster, seafood, Mexican, chili, pizza, buffalo chicken, breakfast potatoes variety, sweet potato variety etc.) to enjoy.
